As the moon rose high in the skies, and blanketed the earth with its night cloak, a lone being traveled through the Cloud Spot. He was wandering alone, enjoying the serenity and peace, but all the while wondering where everyone had scampered off to. The being's silvery silhouette was illumintated by the full moon in the sky. His ears bounced with each jaunty placement of his paws.
The weimaraner known as Arieh was just romping through the grass. Arieh's short cut tail bobbed behind his large frame and his muscled bunched as he happily jumped. Life was great. All was well. The male dog had just decided to take a stroll under the midnight's moon. A small rabbit munched delicately at the grass at their paws. Arieh crouched down, rump in the air, and forepaws dipped to the ground. A playful growl rumbled deeply in his throat. Weimaraners are hunting hounds, driven by the thrill of the chase. Arieh was no different. He stay there in the same position until the rabbit moved closer.
The male dog was hidden in the grass, and he stayed stock still. His black nose twitched expectantly. 'Wait for it, wait for it,'his mind coaxed. Finally, the dog moved. A loud bay-like howl pierced the air, sending birds into the skies. Arieh snagged the creature between his teeth and clamped down. He felt the creature take its last breath and give way. Arieh proudly held his prize in his mouth on display.
"That was fun,"he said, tail wagging furiously. If only someone would come along and share it with him, it would be perfect. For now, the Weimaraner male turned twice in a circle and laid down. His golden eyes looked up to the skies. "Beautiful night tonight,"he said.
